Mission: to motivate, educate and inspire employers to hire qualified people diagnosed with autism.
Purpose: raise funds to help offset the salaries and help the placement of qualified candidates.
Funding priorities: The Trust is responding to the needs of families by placing their adult autistic children into the workforce and by using its funds to initially pay the salaries of qualified candidates. The Trust would subsidize a short- term contract to be achieved with the employer to determine if the employee is a suitable fit, and what training costs would entail. The goal after the contract is for the employer to realize the value of the employee and assume the costs for that hire. The trust will connect the candidate with the desired workplace and assist in negotiating a workplace agreement.
